PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Ir. Dr Salehin Bin Salleh is a Professional Engineer and currently is an Executive Director of KL Prima Consult Sdn Bhd.

 

He graduated from the Unversity of Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom in year 1984 with a First Class Honours Degree in Civil Engineering. Immediately upon graduation and after returning to homeland, he was attached to the Puclic Works Department in Kuala Lumpur. During his 10 year tenure in the Public Works Department, he had served in the Computer Section in charge of structural engineering softwares (1984 – 1985), Structural Engineering Design Unit of Design & Research Division (1986 – 1990), Resident Engineer for Highway project in Negeri Sembilan (1990) and Bridge Unit of the Road Division (1992 – 1994). In 1991 he received a Construction Britih Industry Award Scholarship whereby he was selected to gain his experience with Sir William Halcrow and Partners, Burderop park, Swindon in England, United Kingdom. During his service with Sir William Halcrow and Partners he was expose to numerous underground structures projects. His vast and wide range of design experience has prepared him well to work outside the Government Sector.

Ir. Dr Salehin Salleh started his career in the private sector with a medium sized Civil & Structural Engineering Consulting company, Kumpulan Jurtera maju as the Head of Structure Section. He handled a lot of projects under his care. Among the notable projects are the Commonwealth Games Village, Light Rail Transit from Paramount Garden to Kelana Jaya, Pan Pacific KLIA and the KLIA Quarters. After 2 years with Kumpulan Jurutera Maju, Ir Dr Salehin Salleh  joined KL Prima Consult Sdn Bhd the a shareholder and Director until present time.

While working as an Executive Director with KL Prima Consult Sdn Bhd, Ir Dr Salehin Salleh also pursued his Masters Degree in Construction Management with Universiti teknologi Malaysia. He graduated his Masters in 2007. In 2009 he further pursued his Doctorate in Engineering with the Universiti of Malaya. He graduated in 2013.

Ir. Dr Salehin Salleh also has his share of contribution to the engineering fraternity. He had served the Board of Enginners Malaysia in several committees ; The Professional Practice Committee, The Scale of Fees Committee, Several Investigation Committee and Sub Committee of Building By Law (Jabatan Perumahan Negara)
